#MySexySaturday The notoriously promiscuous girl gets a second chance with the 'nice guy'

Welcome to the 183rd week of My Sexy Saturday

The Rules:
Post 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs of a WIP or published work

This week's theme: Sexy Gentleman

This week's theme actually reminded me of the dedication I wrote for Memories of Us

Dedication:
To Wild Girls.
To Pretty Boys.
And to Daddy's who raise gentle men.

Here's the Blurb

Call Barstow spent the better part of his teenage years fighting off the sexual advances of Karis Hirt. Gorgeous, wild, promiscuous, and his best friend, Trey’s little sister, to boot.

Determined to keep his friends from his sister, Trey swears all his buddies to a hands-off-the-sister pact, which Call takes very seriously. Call’s pledge is only made more torturous when the sensual little vixen, Karis, is determined to make him break his vow. But his constant rejection only drives her to rebel, leaving her reputation in tatters.

Years later, Karis resurfaces in Call's life—a subdued version of the wild child he remembers. Suddenly the pact doesn’t seem important anymore, nor does her spotty reputation. As Call begins to reconcile the past-and-present Karis, he is inundated with memories of her and soon finds himself head over heels with the girl who consumed his youth.

Can Call not only forget but overlook her shadowed sexual history for a bright new future? Or will Karis’ wild past only lead to their eventual ruin?

Excerpt

Over at the bar, Karen, my co-worker, sat talking to a spectre from our past. It was Joy — the girl from the fiasco at the beach when we were teenagers.

The pair of them watched us with interest. Then Joy leaned closer to Karen and said something behind her hand. Karen’s expression changed immediately and her mouth hardened. She glared at Karis. I could only speculate as to the comment.

“Oh, Call, this is a really bad idea.” Karis turned and headed for the door. I ran after her, but my dad intercepted her, gathering her in a big hug. I’d confided in my father about Karis’ worries. My mother gripped my arm and pulled me aside.

We watched as my father systematically worked the room with Karis at his side. The Barstow seal of approval went a long way in this town and he’d just given it in a very public way to the girl I was rapidly losing my heart to. He was brilliant and my chest swelled with pride for the both of them.

The old man even made a point of acknowledging Karen and Joy as he passed them. “Ladies,” my dad murmured pointedly with a nod, his mouth in a derisive line. Karen’s eyes widened and she tripped over an appropriate response to the boss.

“He’s really something,” I said to Mom. “I wanna be just like that man when I grow up.”

My mom patted my chest and straightened my tie. “You’re off to an excellent start, my son. Now what do you say we go reclaim those two gorgeous creatures, take them for a spin on this dance floor, and show these stuffy people how it’s done.” I presented my arm and we did just that.

When I had Karis back in my arms, she said, “Your dad is wonderful. I can see where you get it from.”

“Why thank you. He is the man.” I looked across proudly at him and my mom before turning my focus back to the lovely woman in my arms.
